Here is the report from the Party!
Seven kids participated plus our own four kids so in total there where eleven kids here! Ann-sofie joined us to help us with everything. She had her beautiful daughter Meja with her! She spent over five weeks working on her costume which was something extraordinary. There where mummiesausages, cup cakes and Jack Skellingtons. Read Therese's blogg for more details!
My responsibility was the electronics and to make things move. My plan was to have a coffin at the entrance that would move when people passed it, a scary face in the garage, a ghost attached to a cable that should fly over us during the ghost walk and finally a scary monster in the basement.
Therese crafted the coffin and I installed an motor with an assymetrical shaft that made the coffin shake when the motor spinned. I was powered by a battery from a drill and speed was regulated by puls width modulation to a optimal speed. Everything was controlled by an Arduino board with a motion detector attached to it. I filled up the coffin with carpets and blankets to reduce the noise.

I don't have any pictures of the cable wire ghost. That's because it failed. I built a remote controlled motor with a wheel which I placed on a wire. I connected two LED's and placed them to be the ghosts eyes. A piece of fiber cloth acted as the ghost and moved nicely in the wind. Everything looked great until I started the ghost during the ghost walk. The wind had caused the fiber cloth to get stuck on the roof. I tried to reverse the motor but unfortunately that didn't work. Better luck next year...
I have no pictures of the scary man in the garage either but it worked rather well. Therese printed a picture of a scary man that I cut out and placed in front of the window. I placed a studio flash behind and used the remote control to control the flashes.
The monster in the basement can be seen in a previous post but here is a more detailed description. My plan was that this monster should be the grande finale of the ghost walk. I wanted it to be quite spectacular and something the kids would talk about and remember. I found a scary mask in a store. I filled it with wadding and connected to LED's as eyes.

I built a small winch that was used to raise and lower the head. I added a smoke machine and two flashes. Everything was controlled by a Arduino that was connected to a PC. I made a program to the PC that allowed me to control everything and play sounds.

Allvarligt talat....monstret i källaren! Creeeeeepy!
You actually make it appear really easy together with your presentation but
I find this matter to be really one thing which
I think I would never understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely large for me.
I am having a look ahead on your subsequent submit, I'll attempt to get the dangle of it!
